Leather Care

Our leather goods are currently handcrafted in Romania by a single artisan, who diligently brings each piece to life with care and precision, using thoughtfully sourced materials chosen for their quality and character..

We source our leathers exclusively from Leather Working Group (LWG) certified tanneries, ensuring both quality and environmental responsibility.

Naturally occurring variations in colour and markings may appear in the leather—these are not flaws, but unique characteristics that honour the authenticity of your piece.

  1. Keep it Clean: Regularly dust or wipe down leather items with a soft, dry cloth to remove surface dirt and dust. For more thorough cleaning, use a mild leather cleaner specifically designed for the type of leather you have.
  2. Avoid Moisture: Leather is susceptible to damage from moisture, so it's essential to keep it dry. If leather gets wet, gently pat it dry with a clean cloth and allow it to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources. Avoid using a hairdryer or placing leather items in direct sunlight, as this can cause the leather to become brittle or fade.
  3. Condition Regularly: Leather can dry out over time, leading to cracks and stiffness. To keep leather supple and moisturized, apply a leather conditioner or cream periodically according to the manufacturer's instructions. Conditioning helps restore the natural oils in the leather and keeps it soft and flexible.
  4. Store Properly: When not in use, store leather items in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid folding or crushing leather items, as this can cause creases or permanent damage. Use dust bags or covers to protect leather bags and accessories from dust and scratches.
  5. Handle with Care: Be gentle when handling leather items to avoid scratches, scuffs, or tears. Avoid placing heavy or sharp objects on leather surfaces, as this can cause permanent damage. When wearing leather garments, be mindful of rubbing against rough surfaces that can cause abrasions.
  6. Protect from Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause leather to fade and become discolored. Whenever possible, store leather items away from direct sunlight or use curtains, blinds, or UV-blocking products to protect them from sun damage.
  7. Give it a Break: To preserve its beauty, give your leather good time to rest. When you are not using it, make sure to provide it with the best possible preservation conditions: a temperate, dry environment away from light, preferably in its original dust cover. To maintain its silhouette, place acid-free tissue paper inside and make sure the straps are proper position. We recommend that you do not use anti-humidity sachets, as they have a drying effect on leather.
  8. Professional Cleaning: For stubborn stains or deep cleaning, consider taking leather items to a professional leather cleaner. Professional cleaners have the expertise and specialized products to safely clean and restore leather without causing damage.

By following these general leather care instructions, you can help protect and preserve your leather items, ensuring they maintain their beauty and durability for years to come.
